Optimization of process parameters during hydroforming of tank bottom using NSGA-III algorithm

The hydroforming technology can realize overall forming of large storage tank’s bottom, but the quality is affected by many technological parameters. In view wrinkling and cracking defects integral bottom in hydroforming, a multi-objective optimization model established for process parameters including pre-expansion pressure, hydraulic blank holder force, fillet radius holder. Based on finite element simulation, surrogate between criteria using Kriging technique. NSGA-III used to determine optimal when reaches targets minimum wall thickness variations, fracture trend, flange wrinkle, wrinkle trend. Compared with particle swarm (PSO) algorithm, algorithm more suitable solve this problem. validity method accuracy results are verified simulation experiments.
